How do u feel about same sex couples raising children?

how do u feel about the non-biological mom enforcing positive habits and discipline? There is some conflict in my relationship with this issue. As the step mom should I step back or am i playing my right position? I really want my relationship to work. I always feel like i'm in competition with her child. Can someone give me some useful food for thought? How do u feel about same sex couples raising children?
well the child is most likely going to resent the fact that you are contributing to the discipline because they may not feel like you are their real parent yet, but over time they get use to it. i think that it is great that you are coming in there and trying to make things work out and trying to be a real parent to this kid, but dont try to do all the discipline. talk with your partner and both come to an agrement on how to raise the child. and there is always going to be that feeling of competition with her child, because her child is probably the most important thing to her, and that is the way it should be. just know that your partner loves you and that you will always be there for each other and for the child.

hope that helps...How do u feel about same sex couples raising children?
when someone is a parent the most important thing is to remember is to always put the child first. if someone is in the same sex relationship as long as their is love that's what makes a family. there are couples of opposite sex that don't deserve to be a parent
that is crazy and i dont think that is right for someone one 2 be doing that.
If the non biological mom is taking on the responsiblity as a parent, then yes you should enfore positive habits and discipline, although I would talk the parent and ask what is the norm. You are not in competition with the child, the mother loves you both differently. A child is a lifetime responsibility, she chose you because she loves you, remember that and help her raise her child if you want to be a part of their lives.
